First Family Pic
It's not the most spectacular picture in the world, but this was the first time that we were able to get all four of us close enough together for a photo.

Bored No More!
29 hours of labor, 3+ hours of pushing, and 1 fully sedated C-section later... our twins were born on May 9, 2009!
Gavin Charles Rosier
&
Vivian Grace Rosier
are here!
They each weighed in at 4lbs and 9oz. Gavin was born first at 1:52am and Vivian came in a close second at 1:53am. Since they were born so early, they both are currently in the NICU. But, they are doing well and will likely be released in as little as 1-2 weeks (we'll know a lot more about their release date in the next couple of days). Below are some photos from the last two days...
This is our little girl Vivian:

So Much For Being Bored!
Last night, around 9:15 pm, my water broke. We headed off to the hospital and have been here ever since. At 9 am, I was 3 cm dilated and 95% effaced. Pitocin was started and now we're just waiting....
We'll try to send out updates periodically.

We're Bored
I know, I know, how are we bored? Well, we are.
All of the essentials have been bought, the nursery is practically complete, and our house is clean (for the time being). Don't get me wrong, we love spending time together and we definitely appreciate this quiet time that we have, but we're just so damn excited to meet the Ralphs!
So, last night, we decided to try and figure out when the babies would grace us with their presence. We gathered the clues and we each made guesses. Then, we thought it would be interesting to see what other people thought. We want you to leave a comment with your guess. Here are the clues:
- On Wednesday April 22, we had an ultrasound which guesstimated that each baby was 4 lbs 3 oz. We were also told that each baby would likely gain about 5-8 oz each week until delivery.
- On Monday May 4, we had a doctor's appointment and discovered that I was 1 cm dilated (I want to get to 10cm) and 70% effaced (I want to get to 100%).
- The babies are both head-down.
- Most people who see me think that the babies have dropped, which make sense since I've been able to breath much easier in recent days.
- I haven't had any contractions.
So, what do you think? Let us know your guess!
Never posted on a blog before? Don't be shy. Just click the "comment" button below this post, choose an identity (i.e. google account, anonymous, etc.), and make a guess. If you don't have a google or blogger account, click on "anonymous" and you can write whatever you want (just write your name in the comment). We can't wait to see what you all think!

Green and Purple and Blue... Oh My!
The nursery is 95% done so I thought I'd share some photos of the almost-finished product. Over the last few months, Wes and I have had so much fun finding and making things for the blue, green, and purple themed room.
It all started with a few blankets, sheets, pottery, and frames.

Next, we put some polka dot decals on two opposing walls and
we made three tissue paper dots to hang from the ceiling.
frame collage was hung above the crib.

After searching online for what seemed to be forever, a dresser
was bought from craigslist, which Wes transformed into a
magnificent dresser/changing table for the nursery.
We also put a shelf in the corner to hold all of the essentials...
like socks,
a frame of mom and dad, a piggy bank,
books, and a tiny pair of Chucks, of course.
Last, but not least, we have two adorable rocking horses
in the opposite corner of the bookshelf.
