Paxton's Woodsy Owl Nursery

Our third child, Paxton, has gotten a tad bit spoiled in the beautifully-decorated-nursery department. Really, it's ridiculous how much time and money I've spent on this darn room. But, I love it. And hopefully, Pax will love it, too. As I wrote in my first nursery-related post, I'm calling the theme of Paxton's nursery "Colorful Mod Woodsy Owls" or "Colorful Owls in the Woods" or "Sticks and Owls and Some Other Shit" or something like that. The walls are a greenish teal (already painted this color from the previous owners) and the floor is a medium-toned wood. The main colors of the nursery are shades of blue and teal, orange, and pops of green.

Here's a diagram (totally NOT drawn to scale) of the layout of his nursery:

Below is a list of links to posts I've written that document various projects I've done, transformations I've made, decor options I've chosen, and other nursery-related information.
  • His Owl Mobile
    • Here, I found a large stick from our back yard, painted it white, hung it from the ceiling, and attached six little stuffed owls to it.

  • His Dresser
    • For this project, I transformed our old beat up black dresser into a white cream dresser with a tree and owl vinyl decal

  • His Blanket
    • I found this blanket on Etsy and fell in love.

  • His Family-Created Nursery Art
    • This was so cool! I framed four drawings from my Great Aunt Virginia (that she made in the 1960s) and placed them in opposite corners of the room.

  • His Shelves
    •  In this post, I describe how I painted the back of his built-in shelving unit and filled it with tons of cute woodsy owl nursery stuff.

  • His Couch
    • I found this couch on super-duper clearance at Walmart. It's not my favorite choice for the room, but you really can't beat a couch for $25!
