Car Show Saturday

Last Saturday, we went to a car show a few towns over from Harrisonburg. It was a gorgeous day for a car show. There were even two adorable superheroes who were quite happy to be there.

We looked at cars, walked around, and even ate rainbow-colored popcorn.

Of course, Gavin was very excited to see the few tractors that were there.

After the car show, we got some McDonald's and had a picnic at a park nearby. Then, we went on a little hike and found a gorgeous pond. Of course, we had to throw rocks in it!

We went back home, watched a movie and then headed back out to our local park that afternoon.

It was definitely a busy Saturday with the fam.

Strawberry Picking

On Memorial Day, we (all 5 of us) met Olivia (the twins' friend from school) and her mom (Diane) at a strawberry patch about 25 minutes from our house. We were all very shocked to find hundreds of people already there when we arrived at 8:15am! This place is popular! In fact, they put up a "We're picked out" (i.e. closed for the day) sign by 9am! Anyways, the kids had a ton of fun.And, they took it very seriously.

Instagraming the Day Away

If you follow me on Instagram, then you know that I'm on a bit of a mission to photograph every little (and big) event in our life. Here's what we've been up to lately.

Vacuuming is one of Gavin's "jobs." On this day, he thought that he needed a helmet and construction vest to complete the task.

Vivian is mildly obsessed with carrying her purse around. The other day, I emptied it. Yowza!

These next few are of the twins and Pax playing at Olivia's house for the afternoon. She had water balloons, a sprinkler, and a bouncy house!

This was the aftermath of that tiring day. Gavin fell asleep by 5pm.

Here, we found this awesome "construction site" in a local toy store. It definitely gave me a few ideas for our back yard. Stay tuned...

Vivian writes notes all day every day. Here are two recent ones she gave me. She said they were a grocery list and a story about birdies.

Gavin takes every opportunity he can to play with water. I needed to use the wagon for something, so of course he volunteered to clean it.

Wes, while pointing to a black panther, said "What's this?" Vivian responded with, "a fancy kitty."

After dinner the other night, we made egg carton caterpillars.

Then we took them outside so that they could eat their dinner.

On this day, we made smoothies and took a walk up to my office.

Later that afternoon, we went to the park.

Paxton's One Year Photos

On his actual birthday, we took Pax to JMU's Arboretum for a photo shoot. It was really hot and Pax was a little grouchy, but we somehow managed to get some awesome shots!
