His Actual 1st Birthday

On Tuesday, May 21st, Paxton turned one year old. We started the day by taking the twins to school. Then I went to work for a couple of hours before coming home to take Paxton to JMU's Arboretum for his 12 month photo shoot (post to come). We picked up the twins around 12:30 and went home to sing "Happy Birthday" and eat cake. Paxton didn't get to eat cake at their circus party, so this was very exciting for all of us.

He dove right in, taking big handfuls, squishing it between his fingers, and then shoveling it into his mouth.

Then it was time for presents!

After presents, we went outside for a little pool party.

Of course, Gavin used this opportunity to clean his "worker guy" trucks.

We ended the day relaxing on the couch together with popcorn and a movie. It was a great first birthday celebration! We're looking forward decades more!
