The Rosier Three Ring Circus came to town!

Well, let's be serious, it's always in town (hence the reason we chose that party theme in the first place). Anyways, I think I had way too much fun planning this one. Let's start with the decorations and food. One of the first things Wes and I made for the party was a hula hoop streamer'd big top thingy on the ceiling of the dining room. It really looked cool. I don't think this pic does it justice.

The dining and living rooms were decorated in red, yellow, blue, and white. We used streamers, a roll of red tickets, and balloons on the floor to decorate these two rooms.

The playroom was rainbow colors. We used tissue paper balls, paper lanterns, and tissue paper garland to decorate this room.

The front porch (which I didn't get a pic of) was also decorated with a big pendant banner and the photo booth (see below). We put the kiddos' big plastic blue car bed on the front porch and filled it with ball pit balls (which was a huge hit!). We also had little notes around the house asking people to use #GVPCircus if they Instagramed pics from the party.

The plan was to also decorate the back yard (I actually had 20 paper lanterns to hang from the trees, a table scape with snacks, a table cloth for the picnic table, and more streamers), but the weather forecast was predicting rain and thunder storms for the entire day (even when I checked on Saturday morning, it said 90% chance of rain). So we didn't set anything up. I was happy that it actually never rained, but also a little pissed because I didn't set anything up outside like I had planned. Oh well. I don't think anyone cared.

Okay, so now onto the food! We had corn dogs, soft pretzels, chicken nuggets, and walking tacos with all kinds of fixings like mustard, ketchup, nacho cheese, and honey mustard for the first three and lettuce, diced tomato, cheese, and sour cream for the walking tacos.

We also had chocolate covered apples, marshmallow pops, tons of candy, and cotton candy cupcakes for dessert. We threw in some watermelon and strawberries, too.

The snack and drink table (which was originally set to go outside) was in the kitchen. We had popcorn bags for people to fill with popcorn, animal crackers, and/or peanuts.

Now onto the party! As each child arrived, I gave him/her a batch of tickets for later and then I took his/her photo in the photo booth I made a few weeks prior. The photo booth pictures came out great! And I was so very pleasantly surprised by how cooperative the kids were. Here are the big collages of each child's photo strip.

And here are our kiddos' photo strips:
The kids played in the playroom and everyone ate for a while before we headed out back to do a craft project.

We gave each child a solid color party hat of their choice and a paper tie (that Wes and I cut out of card stock and furnished with some elastic). Then we broke out the circus stickers and everyone decorated their hats and ties.

After that, we went to the front porch to organize a group photo (Oh, how I love big group photos). I think it turned out GREAT! (Yes, there were a ton of people! 42 people- including 3 babies under the age of one.)

People hung out on the front porch, kids played in the ball pit, and more food was eaten.

Then, we went back in the back yard for a game! The kids had to bring their tickets and get in line. They counted out 5 tickets for me. Each child attempted to throw a yellow ball into a yellow basket and a blue ball into a blue basket. Once they did it, we all cheered and they ran to Brandy to get their "goldfish in a bag" (which were just some cheese cracker goldfish).
After the game, it was time to play again.
The tire swing out back was a huge hit!

Everyone ate had cupcakes after singing "Happy Birthday" three times (once for Vivian, once for Gavin, and once for Paxton).
The rest of the party was spent playing outside.

As everyone left, each child got a goodie bag filled with a circus stamp, a few circus tattoos, a sheet of stickers, a deck of circus cards, a circus pencil, a pair of sunglasses, and a bouncy ball.

We had SOOO much fun at their three ring circus party!
Now onto coming up with an idea for next year's shin-dig!
