Their Actual 4th Birthday

On Thursday, May 9th, the kiddos woke up, got dressed, and came downstairs for a mini birthday party before school. They ate cream cheese bagels with a rainbow sprinkle doughnut hole on top. But first, we had to sing Happy Birthday:

They went to school (where they had cookies and more doughnut holes with their class at snack time to celebrate). Then Wes, Paxton, and I picked them up for an afternoon of birthday fun! First, we opened presents. Vivian's theme this year was Hello Kitty and Gavin's was Superheros.

Second, we made cut out cookies! For some reason, Vivian has been asking to make Cinderella cookies on her birthday since, well, her last birthday. When I found castle-shaped and tiarra-shaped cookie cutters a couple of months ago, I knew we had to do it. I got a couple of Toy Story cookie cutters for Gavin.

Third, we went to the park and then went shopping one last time to pick up a few things for the joint circus themed birthday party on Saturday.

The kids' friend, Parker, was at the park, too!
Fourth, we made breakfast for dinner! Breakfast foods are my favorite and thankfully, they have also become a favorite choice of Gavin and Vivian. We ended the night with some popcorn and a movie before bed. A great fourth birthday, indeed.
