Diapers Galore

In general, we go through about 6-10 diapers per baby each and every day. That's 12-20 diapers total, which is about 84-140 diapers a week (i.e. about 1,344-2,240 diapers since they were born, in case you were interested). It's a bit ridiculous. Actually, it's a lot ridiculous.
Thanks to our good friend Elizabeth Williams, however, we haven't had to buy diapers for over 3 weeks now! Elizabeth was so kind to give us a TON of diapers she had leftover from her daughter Grace (who is absolutely adorable, by the way). It's been awesome to not have to buy diapers for this long. Thanks Elizabeth! You have no idea how much we appreciate you!

Summer Reading

Story time is a fun part of our day. Whether it's one of us with one twin or both of us with both twins, we love reading to them and they seem to like it as well. One of their favorite books this summer has been the Touch and Feel Farm book. They look at the animals and if they will allow us, we'll put their hands on the different textures in the book. It's *usually* a good time for all.

Sit Me Up!

Over the last month or so, G & V have loved being propped up on the couch. They can't get enough of it.

No, Not Inga!

Vivi is a spitfire. She knows what she wants and she knows what she doesn't want. You can't trick her and you shouldn't try. Well, when our sweet angel baby Vivi doesn't want a paci in her mouth, she makes a noise that sounds like she's saying "Inga! Inga! Inga!" before she becomes irate. It's actually quite hilarious.

We've decided that this Inga person is her evil alter ego. Now, whenever she starts to get fussy, we say "No, not Inga! Bring back Vivi!" Believe me, you'd say it too; you don't want to meet Inga.

A Piece of Cake

Yesterday, I took Gavin to daycare at the YMCA for the first time. Viv has been a little under the weather, so Wes kept her at home. Gavin was happy and calm when we got there. He just kept looking around at all of the new faces and new toys. He may have been a bit overwhelmed, but he seemed to be okay. When I picked him up seven hours later, he was awake and happy. When he saw me, he smiled. My heart melted.

When we got home I asked Wes how his day was with just one. "This is a piece of cake!" he said. Hilarious.

Jazz & Blues

Last night, we went to Lafayette's Jazz and Blues Festival with our friends Brenda, Brian, and their daughter Charlotte.
It was chilly, so Gavin and I bundled up in my zip-up.
The music wasn't very good, but the company was great!

Grandma & Grandpa Visit

Last week, Wes' mom and dad came to visit. G & V had a lot of fun hanging out with their grandparents. They were so helpful while they were here- making dinner, buying groceries, changing, feeding, rocking, bouncing, and shhh-ing. It was a fun week!
It was really fun on Sunday when we got to go to the pool at the hotel where they were staying. The water was really cold and the twins did not like it at all. But we still had fun!
Thanks Grandma & Grandpa for visiting! See you again soon!
