Grand Prix

Every year since 1958, Purdue has held a Grand Prix go-cart race. And, it's a pretty big deal. Local businesses (like The Lodge apartments & the Z 96.5 Radio Station), franchises (like Toyota, Bosch, & Lockhead Martin), and individuals sponsor racing teams so that they can build and customize their go-carts. Then thousands of people come to watch on Race Day.

The video below gives you a little background on this famous race:

Yesterday, Wes and I went and watched 33 go-carts race around the
track for about two hours. By the 125th lap (there were 160 total),
only about 15 go-carts remained uninjured. Go #99!
