It was a long, exciting day. The next morning, both the Alhassanis and the Rosiers left Harrisonburg to drive up to MD (so the Alhassanis could go home and so we could visit my mom and attend Grant's birthday party).
We slept at my mom's house Sunday night and then drove back to VA on Monday morning. We made it home just in time to go to one of our favorite festivals in town- Bridgewater's Labor Day Festival. It's awesome! The fair has free admission, free carnival rides, and all of the vendors are local business and groups trying to raise money. The kids were in heaven, but it was REALLY hot and everyone got a tad cranky at times because of the extreme heat. So we got them ice cream and all was good in the world.
Did I mention that Labor Day was our seven year wedding anniversary? Well, it was. It was a great day with our family that joyfully ended with some more slip n slide fun.
