Rocktown Bites Tour

On Saturday, July 11, Gavin, Vivian, and Paxton stayed at home with a sitter and Wes, Rex, and I went downtown for a day date. We signed up for a Rocktown Bites tour of Harrisonburg. It was really fun! We went on a 2.5 hour walking tour to six locally-owned businesses. At each place, we got to taste something from that location and hear a history of said location from the owner. We went to Cuban Burger first and had a delicious panini and a daquari. The second stop was The Artful Dodger, where we ate a breakfast quesadilla and drank a specialty Italian soda. Third was Three Notched Brewery. Everyone, except for me (I highly dislike beer), sampled three beers here. The Fourh stop was Kline's Creamery, where everyone got a small ice cream- yum! We went to the local co-op grocery store next to sample some organic blueberries and potatoe salad. The last stop was at a new restaurant called Food Bar Food. We had an incredibly delicious watermelon cosmopolitan and a shrimp bowl. The whole experience was really fun for us and Rex slept almost the entire tour! We definitely need to go out again soon!
