Pizza and Puppies at the Park

Last week, we picked up a pizza from Little Caesar's and went to the park for dinner. All three kiddos thought that this idea was VERY cool. 

After pizza, we played on the play equipment until we saw THE PUPPY. It was so precious. And Pax was in love. He must have asked to hold it 4 or 5 times. And the young girls who had the pup loved it. 

Olivia Whitehurst

 

Our kids have become rather close to Little Miss Olivia Whitehurst. We try to set up play dates with her at least every couple of weeks. Here they are at a local park after school one day this week.

We Heart the Arboretum

Our family absolutely loves spending time at JMU's Arboretum. We love it because it's beautiful, fun, gets the kids to run around, relaxing (most of the time), and really close to our house. We go at least once a week and walk around. This is also where we usually feed the ducks. We've created lots of great memories here and are excited about our future memories here. 

A Richelsen Visit

The second weekend of September, our friends, Stephanie, Tony, and their son, Nick, all came down to Harrisonburg for a weekend visit. Our kids just love little Nick; especially Miss Vivian.

They arrived on Friday night just in time for dinner and the start of everyone's bedtime routine. The next morning we drove about an hour south of us to the Natural Bridge Zoo. There were over 50 different species, elephant rides, and lots of animals to feed (basically, you should get ready for a picture overload).

There were even giraffes that you could feed!

In case you didn't know already, Pax is absolutely, positively IN LOVE with ducks! When he found these little guys, he chased them all over.

When we got back to Harrisonburg, we went to the arboretum before dinner and got some great 8 month old photos of Nick. These are my favorite.

It was a great day and a great weekend with the Richelsens!
