On Tuesday, June 30, 2009, our best friends Iad and Brandy Al-Hassani welcomed their first child into the world. Carter Iad Al-Hassani was born at 3:05pm and weighed in at 7lbs 12oz. Brandy and Iad have been our best friends for many years. I met them both in 2000, but Iad has been a part of Wes' life since middle school. Needless to say, we know them very well. And because of this, we know that Carter is very lucky to have them as his parents. If Carter is anything like his mom, he will be a kind, gentle, and emotional individual who will deeply care about all of his family and friends. He will be talkative, yet reserved. He will be very supportive towards the people he cares about and quite humorous at times. He will know how to have fun, but still be cautious when it is necessary. On the other hand, if Carter is anything like his dad, he will possess initiative and drive. He will value cleanliness and organization. He will work hard and play harder. He will be dedicated to whatever task he is working on, whether it be remodeling a kitchen, laying down flooring, or installing a bathtub. And, he will love his family and friends.
So, give Carter a kiss and a hug for us Iad and Brandy! We can't wait to meet him!
