Poor Paxton. For the last couple of months, he's been waking up way too early in the morning a couple of times each week because of a tummy ache. On mornings where he doesn't have any indigestion, he'll sleep as late as 7:30am.
But then there are those other mornings. The tummy ache mornings. He'll wake up anytime from 4am to 6:30am, crying and writhing and arching his back. It's clear that he's in pain and there's not much we can do besides wait. For the poop. It's such a wonderful thing to wait for {sarcasm}.
Poor kid. The worst part is that he cannot go back to sleep afterwards. No matter how early it is. For instance, I was up with him at 4:45 this morning (WTH!), he pooped around 5:00 and then cried and whined (out of sheer exhaustion) until the twins woke up around 6:30. It's just pitiful. He wants to go back to sleep, but he just can't. So he cries, plays a little, whines, crawls around, cries, demands to be carried to a new room, cries...
Hopefully this tummy ache phase of his life will be over soon {absolutely no sarcasm}.
