Sweet Baby Photography in August

This month, I had two Sweet Baby Photography shoots. One was with a set of 9 month old twins and the other was with a 3 month old baby girl. Here are some of my favorites from the twin shoot.

Block Party & a Visit from Friends

Last Sunday, we took the kids to a local community block party. There was face painting, a inflatable slide, a bouncy house, live music, and lots of fun food like snow cones, popcorn, cupcakes, and cookies (all totally free). We had a blast. 

When we got home, we had a nice visit from one of my childhood friends, her two sons, and their two puppies. 

It was a fun-filled day!

Rockingham County Fair

A couple of weeks ago, we took the kids to the county fair after school. They really enjoyed walking around, petting the animals, and doing a couple of kid-friendly activities. Did I mention that it was FREE? The kids were already free and I got my hands on 2 free adult tickets.

Vivi "didn't want to get poop on her feet."

There was also a really cool beehive display. 

Pax loved all of the animals and kept reaching out to touch them. 

We knew Vivi would love it. She's such an animal lover.

Cool Shit I Forgot from July

Wes, Linda, and Philip took the twins to Monster Truck Jam. While both thought it was REALLY cool, Gavin was ridiculously impressed. When they got home, he must have talked for 40 mins (with very few breaks) about every little thing that happened. And, he was very animated and enthusiastic about it all. 

We went to Sharlene and Chuck's house for dinner one night. They have a dog and a cat. The kids loved them. And we had a great time catching up with our friends. 

We got the twins bunk beds. We've been talking about doing it for a while and when I found an Ikea bunk bed on Craigslist for less than half of the normal price, we knew we had to jump on it. We also put up a tension rod and some curtains for Vivian. 

We went with Linda to Massanutten's huge indoor/outdoor water park. It was tons of fun. 

Weird Green Balls

The kids collected the wired green balls at the park recently. Apparently they're walnuts. Who knew. Not us.

Babysitting Brothers

A couple of weeks ago, Vivian asked her brothers to babysit her baby, Avelina. She told them she had to go to work and gave them a lot of instructions. 

They both took this job very seriously and proceeded to babysit Avelina for a good thirty minutes. 

Boobs & Fast Cars

Wes put his Mustang Cobra in a car show the weekend before last. It was a car show for all things Ford and Wes was in heaven. There were lots of nice cars and lots of trucks (which Gavin liked). Wes' car even won a Silver Award (which was given to 5 cars-- 5 cars got a bronze, 5 got a silver, 5 got a gold, and 1 car got the top "best in show" award). It was fun. Here are the highlights:

There was a soapbox derby tent set up to recruit new drivers. Gavin thought it was very cool; especially when they guy said, "You wanna get in?"

Seven years old (which is the age they have to be to drive one) can't come soon enough!

Paxton, who let me remind you is named after a car part (see that explanation HERE), was a bit of an attraction, with 3 people asking if they could take a photo of him. I think his shirt stole the show! (By the way, that's Wes' car he's holding onto)

Despite the insane heat, we definitely all had a great time!

And, Wes is signed up for another car show this weekend. Stay tuned...
