He has these HUGE, elaborate ideas about what he wants to do. And in his head, these ideas seem like lots of fun and totally acceptable and logical. But when carried out (which he almost always at least attempts to do), his ideas either turn into a big mess, get him in a lot of trouble, or both. Gavin then acts completely surprised at the outcome of his actions. Basically, his intentions are usually to have fun and he fails to fully think out what will happen if he follows through with his plans. He's definitely the Cat in the Hat.
