In the past week, we've learned a lot about our little ones. When you first meet them, it may be difficult for most to tell them apart-- we couldn't for the first day or so. But, once you get to know them, their individual personalities, unique facial features, and distinct behavior patterns shine through and they are like apples and oranges in many respects. For instance, Gavin likes to sleep with his hands near his face while Vivian's hands are on her face all day long; whether she's sleeping or awake. Also, Gavin really likes to grunt and make noises, while Vivian stays quiet until something really upsets her. At which point she screams like a banshee. When it comes to facial expressions, Vivian enjoys putting her lips together to make kissing faces and Gavin flattens his lips out making him look like a precious little froggie. The nurses and visitors have described Gavin as calm, cool, and collected, while also being quite energetic and happy. On the other hand, Vivian has been said to be a bit of a diva, determined, feisty, and a spitfire.
Yes, we've learned a lot about our little ones this week. It will be interesting to see how their personalities change and are molded over the next few months and years.
