We all woke up Easter morning to goodies from the Easter Bunny. We told Gavin and Vivian about it in the living room and they quickly became very excited--jumping up and down, knocking on the kitchen door, and begging to go in to see their surprise. You can watch the video of them seeing their baskets for the first time here.
They were both very intrigued by their baskets. While Gavin was playing with his toys and eating his applesauce, Vivian got straight down to business, shoving all of the candy in her mouth as quickly as possible.
They each got a pair of sunglasses.
Viv got some jewelry and Gavin got a couple of hats. And they each got a chocolate bunny.
While we were waiting for our breakfast quiche to be ready, we went out on the deck for some sun, sand, and of course, several dozen photos against our brick wall.
Gavin started to get a little ancy and wanted to come back inside for some food.
We ate brunch and put the twins down for a nap. Two hours and 45 minutes later, Vivi and Gavin woke up, we ate a snack and it was time to decorate Easter cookies.
Here are 4 of the 8 or so cookies that G & V made.
During their nap, Wes' mom had to pick up her dogs (one of which--Ruckus--is one of our old dogs) from the boarding kennel and they played in the front yard for the last few hours that they were here.
The rest of the afternoon was spent playing on the deck, snacking, playing in the yard, and laughing at the twins. We did manage to get a group shot. And, several more dozen pics of Gavin, Vivian, me, and Wes before the day was through.
I'm not sure what Gavin was upset about in these next two.
