Carter's Birthday Party

On Saturday, July 2, Gavin, Vivian, and I drove up to MD (Wes had to work) for their BFF/fake cousin Carter's 2nd birthday. The drive started of with a couple of extremely happy kiddos.

But that happiness was quickly followed by pure exhaustion. They slept almost the entire 2.5 hour ride.

We got to the party about an hour early, so the three amigos got in some serious playtime before everyone arrived. Miss Vivi found a bowl of icing on the counter and... well... you can probably guess what she did with this discovery.

The 3 kids had a lot of fun playing together. Gavin and Vivian actually learned how to say "Carter" on the car ride up and they kept calling him by his name all day. It. Was. Precious.

The party was a lot of fun with all kinds of things to do. Inside, there were tons of toys to play with and food to eat. Outside, there was a water table, baby pool, chalkboard, and lots and lots of outside toys. G & V were in heaven. Oh yeah, and there were two little Yorkie Terriers there, too. Viv was in love.

Viv liked feeding "her puppy" blueberries.

 Gavin was very busy. The entire time we were there. The entire time.

Carter got to Skype with his Aunt Jamie while opening presents!

 Then it was time for cake!!

 Vivi was VERY proud of her cupcake. Gavin liked his, but one of the pups kept taking it from him. Vivi made sure not to let a pup get hers. Every time a pup came near her, she would hold her cupcake up above her head and yell, "NO!"

There was even a piniata! And surprisingly, all 3 kids knew what to do!

After the party, Steph, Brandy, the kids, and I went to Ikea before coming back to Brandy's for dinner and some more playtime. We got back on the road around 7pm and got home a little after 9pm. It was an amazing day and I can't wait til the fake cousins get to hang out again!!
