We've been trying to schedule some outdoor family photos with a local photographer every single weekend for the last 5 weeks. But for one reason or another (i.e. Gavin needing stitches, the bad weather, her child going to the hospital, etc.), we've had to cancel our session. Well, we actually got to go today. Almost.
I mean, we got ready in time, beat the photographer there, and even got a few photos taken. But after about 10 minutes (we scheduled a 2 hour session), Gavin decided that he was going to run full-speed toward a small man-made lake. Wes yelled at him, "Gavin, don't get too close!"
And then...
He. Jumped. In.
And was covered in mud. His new clothes (yes, brand new clothes) and hands were covered in mud. Covered. He thought this was very funny. Of course he did.
The photographer, who has 4 children of her own, was very understanding and said that she would gladly reschedule for tomorrow.
The worst part about today wasn't that we had to reschedule again (That sucks too, but oh well). To me, the worst part is that I have to clean his clothes tonight and go through the 2 hour get-ready session again tomorrow. Geesh.
