On Sunday, we packed up the kiddos and drove down to my sister and her fiance's new house (they're homeowners!) in Roanoke, VA.
After eating lunch and hanging out for a bit, we went to a drive-through animal safari for the afternoon. It was incredibly fun, exciting, and at times, a little terrifying. Auntie Bird and Uncle Joe got the twins a couple of safari hats and we were on our way!
Since we were only allowed to drive 5 mph, we let the kids run free in the minivan. They mostly stayed in the front (either on Auntie Bird's lap or on Wes'), but Gavin came to the back a couple of times for a break (he was a little freaked out by a few of the animals- mostly the horned ones).
Pax nursed in the way back of the van and then just chilled out in his car seat.
Vivi sat on Wes' lap most of the time and drove the car.
The van was totally trashed with animal food after the drive. It was insane.
After the drive-through part, we walked through a a little zoo area. There were all kinds of animals like goats, monkeys, birds, pigs, chickens, turtles, bengal tigers, and more.
We had a lot of fun with all of the picture cut-outs.
We had so much fun with Auntie Bird and Uncle Joe! See you again soon!
