We've gone to Smith Mountain lake three summers now (2011, 2012, & 2014; we went to Lake Anna in 2013). Each year we've gone, we go to this spot in the state park and let the kids run, explore, and swim. It's our favorite. All three year, I've taken the same photo- our ruffians running away from us with these gorgeous tall trees in the background. It's amazing the difference a few years make!
