Vivi's First Dance Recital

As you may remember, Vivian started dance class in January. Well, the class has ended and she was in her first dance recital last weekend. She was adorable. And terribly nervous. Here are some pics we took before we left:

GG was in town for the recital (because she was coming with us to the lake that night). We met the Whitehursts there and Olivia was excited, too.

When we got inside, the hand-holding began. We were so happy Olivia was with Vivian. I'm not sure she would have done it all if Olivia was not there (Yes, she was THAT nervous).

The actual dance was to Harry Belafonte's "Day-O" and it was precious. We sat in the third row and got the whole thing on video. Vivi is in the front row in the middle (to the right of the only little boy in the class who is in the center). As you can see, she rarely moved her arms, keeping them close to her body the entire time. She was so nervous. But, at least she went out there. And she didn't cry or run off stage. It could have been much worse. I just couldn't believe how precious the whole thing was. Enjoy the video.
