Smith Mountain Lake 2014 ~ Wednesday - Friday

WEDNESDAY

It was just the five of us the first half of Wednesday (Wes' mom arrived around 3). We started off by taking the golf cart out for a spin around the neighborhood and then to Mitchell's Point Marina for some playtime and ice cream.

As expected, the ice cream was a huge hit! We drove the golf cart home, Pax took a nap, and Gavin and Vivi explored the backyard (and the lake). When Pax woke up, he joined in on the fun.

Grandma arrived around 3 and we took the water trampoline and paddle boat in the lake.

 

 We ate dinner on the back deck (that had a gorgeous view of the lake) and then went to the fire pit to roast marshmallows for dessert!

THURSDAY

Thursday was rainy. And chilly. But we still took out the golf cart for an adventure! We drove around the neighborhoods for a while before taking Grandma over to the playground.

We drove the golf cart home and piled in the van to drive to the other marina to feed the fish and go out for pizza.

We stopped at the grocery store on the way home. That afternoon, Pax and I took a nap together while the twins, Wes, and Grandma made sock puppets and watched a movie. Then the kids got to take a purple bubble bath in the big master bath tub. We ate dinner and all went to bed to get ready for our last morning at the lake.

FRIDAY

Friday was our last morning at the lake. 

We cleaned and packed before taking the golf cart out for one last trip to the little marina for some playtime on the playground and even more ice cream.

We left the lake around 11:30 and stopped at Sonic (one of our favorites) on the way home for some yummy food and a break from driving.

And that was our 2014 Smith Mountain Lake vacation.
