Adventures in Maryland

Last week, we made the trek out to MD for our good friends Steph and Tony's wedding (post to come). Our first full day in MD was spent going from store to store looking for formula and buying some last-minute things before we headed off to the rehearsal dinner that night.
We left the twins with my mom and Wes' mom. This was the scene as we walked out the door.
The next day was the wedding, which was an all-day event (You know, fixing hair, doing make-up, gathering the essentials, calming the bride, fixing hair, misplacing the camera, making the bride eat something, carrying the dresses without letting them touch the ground, fixing hair, rushing to the church, lip glossing the bride, fixing hair, putting on painful shoes, looking for the photographer, and fixing your hair one last time before walking down the aisle. You know, the usual wedding stuff.).

On our third day in MD, we went to the Al-Hassani house. G & V had a great time hanging out with Carter and playing with his toys.
Gavin & Vivian also got to see their Great Nana (my mom's mom).
Nana had a lot of fun watching them squirm, kick, yell, and try to scoot all over the place. She couldn't believe how big they were. Vivian liked to hear Nana talk and Gavin was in love with all of the games she played with him (see video).

Aunt Steph & Aunt April also came over for a visit.
Wes' best friend David (Uncle David to the twins) had fun playing with them too.
Later that day, Grandma, Grandpa, Uncle Philip, and Aunt Mitchem (another "fake family member") came over.

Our last morning in MD was spent with GG, Aunt Bird (my sister), Joey (Bird's boyfriend), Grandma, Grandpa, & Uncle Philip. Meghan made some amazing food and we all played with the babes until it was time to go.
It was a great trip and we can't wait to go again in December!
