baby names (part two)

In January of last year (2010), I wrote a post about the popularity of my friends' kids' names (who were born in 2008 and 2009). Well, since January of 2010, several more babies have been born and several more names have been announced. So, I thought it would be fun to rank them again.

Here are the rankings for these names in 2010 (the 2011 data isn't out yet).

In 2010...

Kaleigh was #583
(but Kaylie was #391 & Kaylee was #35)

Evelyn was #39

Grey was not in the top 1000 names for boys

Clare was #684
(but Claire was #53)

Emmeline was not in the top 1000 names for girls

Vincent was #109

Riley was #40

Tess was #810

Gregory was #268

Lydia was #111

Ella was #13
Liam was #30
Jor was not in the top 1000 names for boys
Desmond was #351
Henry was #67

So, the winners for the most unique names are my friends Alysia with Emmeline, Robin with Jor, and Jennifer with Grey and the winners for the most popular names were my friends Rebecca with Ella, Kindra with Liam, and Elizabeth with Evelyn.
