New Black Friday Tradition

On Black Friday, our family came over again (they stayed in hotels on Thanksgiving night) for a new tradition: painting and decorating cookies! My mom watered down some icing, divided it up into separate cupcake tins, and then died them all different colors. We baked a bunch of sugar cookies and everyone painted and decorated away!
 Vivi was very excited.

Gavin got really into it, too.

 Everyone painted a cookie!

And then, things started to get messy...

Hi, love the idea of painting sugar cookies so much that I plan to do it with my 2 year old students next week. Your family looks like they had so much fun doing it. Found your blog on PINTEREST. I have a question . What type of frosting did your mom use and what did she thin it down with? I'm going to try canned white frosting thinned with milk and fall colored food coloring. Painting sugar cookie leaves. Wonderful blog...

She used regular icing, food coloring, and then just added water! so easy!
