Due Date

Today was the twins' actual due date. But, instead of being born today, we celebrated their 5 week birthday! In the early morning, the babies enjoyed some tummy time in their nursery. And, I'm happy to report that they're both getting much better at holding up their precious little heads. After some food and a 2-3 hour nap, both babies were put in cute outfits (to commemorate this special day of course). Unfortunately, they both ruined those adorable outfits about 20 minutes later. After changing their clothes back into some pjs, they were wide awake again. So, we talked and sang and played with a few toys. Then, it was time for a nap again.

Gavin napped downstairs with Dad and Vivian came upstairs with me where we snuggled in bed together. About 2 hours later, it was time to eat again. Diaper change, bottle, burp. Dinner time was then upon us. We ate and each held a sleeping babe. 

After dinner, it was time to begin the trek upstairs for bed. We gathered all of the necessities like their bottles, sleeping positioners, boppy, pacifiers, and of course, the babies. Once we all got situated, it was time for a bedtime story. We read a goodnight book that our friend Elizabeth Williams brought over the other day and they loved it. And by "loved it," I mean that Gavin slept through the entire story (I guess he was just following directions) and Vivian pitched a fit most of the time. Classic.

So, that was how we spent our "due date" day. Happy due date babes! We love you!
