The Twins Are ONE Month Old!

The twins, who were born on May 9, are one month old today! To honor their one month birthday, we decided to have pie. Why pie? Well, as you all know, our twins were in the NICU for 12 days. While they were there, Wes and I would go to almost every one of their meal times to feed them ourselves. After our late night feedings in the NICU, we would usually visit the hospital cafeteria. And during the 12-2am shift, the only thing that was appetizing to us was the wide variety of pie slices available. They had everything from apple pie to chocolate mousse pie to lemon meringue pie. Every night, Wes and I would each get a different piece of pie and talk about the day. So, it only seemed natural to celebrate their one month birthday with some pie! Some chocolate mousse pie to be exact :-)

We also thought we'd share some fun facts about Gavin and Vivian to celebrate their one month birthday.

Gavin...

• enjoys bath time
• likes to grunt and girggle while he's awake and while he's asleep
• loves to sit in the boppy
• is animated and likes to wiggle a lot
• likes to be awake at night
• has peed on Mommy about 20 different times, but only once or twice on Daddy
• can lift his head up, but doesn't do it as often or as well as his sister
• eats every 3-3.5 hours
• likes to sleep on his tummy during the day
• loves to be rocked
• likes to be bundled up in a warm blanket
• is perfect

Vivian...

• does not enjoy bath time
• makes these little noises that sound like a puppy barking
• loves to sit in the boppy
• is serious and tends to look as if she is in deep thought
• likes to be awake during the day
  
• has sprayed poop on Mommy's shirt and on Daddy's pants
• is getting very good at lifting her head up
• eats every 4-5 hours
• likes to sleep with her hands above her head
• loves the vibrations in the bassinet
• likes to stretch out and not be confined
• is perfect
